The application process for three prospective doctoral programs have concluded this past weekend. I am very pleased to write that each has issued a notice of acceptance. In the coming days I will sit down with my family and make a decision. All three programs have enticing merits that must be weighed. I am very excited about the new direction coming into our lives later this year.
University of Oregon

In this program I will be researching earth hazards early warning systems with a primary focus on earthquakes and secondarily on volcanic activities, land slides, and forest fires. My advisor will be Doug Toomey.
University of Montana

In this program I will be performing hydrogeodesy and geodetic tomography studies to determine how redistribution of surface fluids cause earth deformation. My advisor will be Hilary Martens.
Boise State University

In this program I will be studying volcanoes using infrasound, seismic, and airborne sensory systems. My advisor will be Jeffrey Johnson.
